Basic Needs

Mission: California State University, Monterey Bay Basic Needs is passionate about a thriving otter community. We support the raft by ensuring our otters basic needs are met through resources, access and advocacy.

Basic Needs refers to the food, housing and overall wellness security of our community. Having one’s basic needs met has a direct impact on the academic performance, mental health, physical health, professional development and holistic well-being of our students. At CSUMB we strive to support all students through a variety of measures which include a food pantry, vouchers for hot meals and Farmers Markets, Emergency Funds, CalFresh application assistance, case management and new this year, a parenting student program!
