High Impact International Student Research with UROC

UROC is seeking funding to support student engagement in the high-impact practice of international research experiences. Because of the recent dissolution of several federal funding opportunities (including the CSU-LSAMP program, which was funded by the National Science Foundation), funding for students conducting research in international settings is in short-supply.

Experiential learning programs such as the Costa Rica Research Expedition, which ran annually for more than a decade, offered CSUMB students the opportunity to engage in authentic research in the tropics. We aim to raise funds to support continued student engagement in these and other types of international research.
